PL0003/2026 · Botswana
An early-stage exploration project in the Kalahari Copper Belt, targeting copper and silver mineralisation.
The project is presented as an exploration opportunity based on the supplied pre-exploration assessment. Geological interpretations and targets require further field verification and systematic exploration. This website does not represent a mineral resource or reserve statement.
The Ghanzi Copper-Silver Project is a strategically located mineral exploration concession covering approximately 58.81 km² in the Ghanzi District of western Botswana, situated approximately 50 kilometres west of Ghanzi town and 150 kilometres south-west of the Motheo Copper Mine, within the highly prospective Kalahari Copper Belt.
The project targets sediment-hosted copper-silver mineralisation associated with the D’Kar and Ngwako Pan geological formations, which form an important part of Botswana's established copper-bearing geological province. Of particular significance is the interpreted D’Kar–Ngwako Pan redox contact, a favourable geological horizon for the formation and concentration of copper-silver mineralisation.
Historical regional exploration approximately 50 kilometres north of the project identified anomalous base-metal values, including copper results of up to 314 ppm, zinc of up to 1,250 ppm and lead of up to 157 ppm. These findings provide encouraging regional geological context for further exploration within the licence area.
Aeromagnetic and airborne electromagnetic interpretations have identified prospective geological contacts, northeast–southwest trending structural features, folding and possible repetition of mineralised stratigraphy within the project area. These features provide priority exploration targets for investigating potential copper-silver mineralisation.
Exploration & Development Strategy
The exploration programme is focused on detailed geological mapping, geochemical soil sampling, ground geophysical surveys and targeted reverse circulation and diamond drilling to evaluate the identified geological and structural targets.
With its position within an established copper-silver mineral belt, favourable geological setting, defined geophysical targets and proximity to existing copper mining infrastructure, PL0003/2026 represents an attractive copper-silver exploration opportunity in Botswana.
