PL0004/2026 · Botswana
A large prospecting licence targeting a range of base metals, precious metals, PGMs and strategic minerals.
The project is at an early exploration stage. Geological interpretations, target areas and any historical data should be treated as exploration information and not as evidence of an economic deposit.
PL0004/2026 – Kraaipan Critical Metals Project
The Kraaipan Critical Metals Project is a strategically located mineral exploration concession covering approximately 537 km² in south-eastern Botswana, situated between Kanye, Goodhope and Lobatse within the highly prospective Kaapvaal Craton and Kraaipan Greenstone Belt.
The project offers exposure to a diverse range of commodities, including gold, platinum group elements (PGE), rare earth elements (REE), copper, nickel, manganese, iron ore and other base and critical metals.
Gold Mineralisation & Regional Exploration Potential
The Kraaipan Greenstone Belt is an established gold-bearing geological terrain extending approximately 250 kilometres into south-eastern Botswana and continuing across the Botswana–South Africa border. Historical exploration in the wider belt has identified significant gold mineralisation, including near-surface gold intersections from drilling during the 1990s, with reported results of 21 metres at 1.0 g/t gold, 9 metres at 1.6 g/t gold and 3 metres at 5.1 g/t gold.
More recent exploration in the wider Kraaipan region has also reported encouraging gold intersections, including 30 metres at 1.56 g/t gold, with a higher-grade interval of 3 metres at 7.32 g/t gold from surface, and a further intersection of 4 metres at 4.26 g/t gold from 10 metres depth.
These regional exploration results demonstrate the gold-bearing potential of the wider Kraaipan geological corridor and provide an important geological context for further gold exploration within PL0004/2026.
Geological Setting & Mineral Potential
The concession is characterised by favourable geological formations, extensive structural fault systems and magnetic anomalies identified through regional and licence-scale aeromagnetic interpretation. Its geological setting includes the Kraaipan Complex, Kanye Formation, Gaborone Granite, Lobatse Volcanic Group and Transvaal Supergroup, providing multiple prospective environments for mineralisation.
Historical exploration across the wider region has also identified copper-nickel occurrences, manganese deposits and other metal anomalies. The project is strategically positioned within an established mining and exploration district.
Exploration & Development Strategy
The exploration strategy focuses on systematic geological mapping, remote sensing, geochemical sampling, aeromagnetic and induced polarisation surveys, followed by targeted reverse circulation and diamond drilling to identify and evaluate mineralised zones.
With its extensive licence area, favourable geological setting, regional gold discoveries, multi-commodity potential and proximity to established mining districts, the Kraaipan Project represents an exciting exploration opportunity within Botswana's growing gold and critical minerals sector.
